These tasty breakfast low glycemic diet recipes gives you all the necessary ingredients to start
your day and keep your power going while staying low on the GI and low on fat.
Remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, especially if you are
trying to lose weight and live a busy and energetic lifestyle.
Egg White Zucchini
Ingredients: 1/2 cup fresh zucchini, cut into thin strips
4 cherry tomatoes cut in half
2 scallions, chopped
4 egg whites, beaten well
1/8 tsp fresh basil
1/8 tsp fresh oregano
1/8 tsp fresh thyme

Directions:
Spray a skillet liberally with butter flavored non stick cooking spray.
Place the skillet over medium heat.
Add and sauté the zucchini, tomatoes and scallions for 5 minutes or just until they soft.
Pour in the egg whites.
Sprinkle with the basil, oregano and thyme.
Cook for 3 minutes or until the egg whites are set, turning gently occasionally.
Strawberry Melon Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup of orange juice
1/2 cup of fresh strawberries
1/4 cup of fresh cantaloupe
3 ice cubes

Directions:
Pour the orange juice into the blender.
Add the strawberries and cantaloupe and top with the ice cubes.
Cover the blender and puree until very smooth.
Add 3 tbsp of your favorite protein powder to the smoothie for an extra boost in the morning (optional).

Note: Both recipes makes 1 serving of each. Although these recipes only serves 1 it can be doubled
or tripled as needed.
